I can see it now...Angelina Jolie as the B*tch of War. Honestly, unless Warner Bros. makes some changes to the script, I don't think this sounds like Pitt movie. If he's a badass soldier instead of a raw recruit, he might sign on. This also seems like a role better suited for a younger actor. Just my two cents though.
Problem with pursuing Pitt, is that every studio wants him in their films. The reality is not everyone gets him. It's just the nature of the business.
Warner Bros. is apparently ready to get moving on this project with or without Pitt attached. Apparently, even more so now that the Doug Liman directed film Luna has been cancelled.
