Will Ferrell & Matthew McConaughey Reprise Roles in 'Eastbound and Down' Season 3

Will Ferrell and Matthew McConaughey will appear once more in what will likely be Eastbound and Down's third and final season on HBO. Kenny Powers (Danny McBride) will also welcome new key characters to the fold this season, played by Jason Sudeikis and Ike Barinholtz (Mad TV).

At the end of season 2, Kenny Powers was headed to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for a minor league baseball tryout, on an offer extended by an MLB scout (McConaughey). The pitcher with the world famous mullet also learned that he was going to be a daddy.

Ferrell will reprise his role as the flamboyant (Rick Flair look a like) BMW salesman Ashley Schaeffer, who appeared multiple times in the first season. Meanwhile, as previously reported Sudeikis will play a new best friend/sidekick of Kenny to join Stevie (Steve Little). Barinholtz, who was hilarious in an episode of FX's The League last season, will play a young Russian pitching phenom who Kenny takes under his wing.

Eastbound and Down returns this January on HBO. I'm looking forward to it.
