"What? New set photos on a film that had finished filming? Gee, those guys at Get The Big Picture are really slow at relaying the news." Well, idiot troll commenter, Guy Richie is back in London, England for some needed reshoots. Rachel McAdams, who co-starred in the first Sherlock Holmes reimagining, wasn't available to shoot scenes during principal photography. Now, McAdams is set to reprise her role of Irene Adler in a much smaller, cameo like role. Take a look at the set pics after the jump.
I'm pretty glad that Rachel McAdams is back to reprise her role. I wouldn't say that she was memorable in the last film but it would feel incomplete without her in the sequel in some way, shape or form. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows takes place one year after the first film. Holmes (Downey Jr.) is still hellbent on finding Professor Moriarty (Harris), while Watson (Law) is juggling keeping Holmes in one piece and being the best partner to his wife, Mary Morstan (Reilly). Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Noomi Rapace, Jared Harris, Stephen Fry, Kelly Reilly and Rachel McAdams stars in this sequel directed by Guy Richie and is set to release on Decemeber 16, 2011.

I wouldn't say she wasn't memorable as she's made enough of an impression to bring her back. This despite that in Sherlock Holmes canon, she's only in ONE book.
