Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:06PM Colin Farrell & 'In Bruges' Director Reunite for 'Seven Psychopaths'

Half of the brilliant crew behind dark comedy In Bruges are combining talents again for a new film. Martin McDonagh will direct Seven Psychopaths and Colin Farrell will be his leading man a second time, according to Deadline. The Farrell led cast will also include Mickey Rourke, Christopher Walken and Sam Rockwell. That's wonderful company for a comedy, at least on paper.
McDonagh's script has Farrell's character, a screenwriter, "drawn into the dognapping escapes of his friends (played by Rockwell and Walken). Once the beloved Shih Tzu owned by a psychopathic gangster goes missing, the screewriter finds himself fueled with all the drama he needs for his screenplay, if he can stay alive long enough to write it all down.
I'm guessing Rourke will play this fearsome gangster, just a hunch. The premise for this film sounds like an amusing one, and will likely be more of a straight comedy than In Bruges was. This could be awesome, though I'll wait to be completely sold on it with a good trailer.
Seven Psychopaths begins shooting this fall in Los Angeles.
