Monday, September 5, 2011 at 11:15PM JCVD & Chuck Norris Join 'The Expendables 2' Team?

Before The Expendables came out last summer, having Rambo/Rocky, The Terminator, John McClane and The Transporter in the same action flick would be like a pipe dream. Now the sequel to this instant blockbuster could be even more explosive with the two biggest martial arts movie stars ever (besides Bruce Lee) reportedly joining this '80s-inspired Dream Team.
According to IGN, a document on the Millenium Films website suggests Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris have officially signed on for the Expendables 2, though a third star, likely John Travolta wasn't listed. The site also claims that Bruce Willis and Arnie will reprise their roles in the follow up.
JCVD and Norris included with big names already attached make the poster above seem less far fetched. I doubt Harrison Ford would enlist his services for the film and the TV stars probably wouldn't get the invite, but it seems possible Steven Segal could get involved down the line.
The next story follows Stallone and his team of hard-hitting mercenaries out for vengeance on those responsible for murdering Tool, who was portrayed by Mickey Rourke (best character) in the first film.
The sequel will be directed by Simon West (Con Air, The Mechanic) from a script written by David Agosto and Ken Kaufman. The expected theatrical release for this next action hit is August 17, 2012.
So JCVD, Norris, maybe John Revolting and everyone else, minus Jet Li and Mickey Rourke are back for The Expendables 2. Christian Slater and Peter Weller are also rumored.
The only question now is who's next?
Michael Dudikoff? R.I.P Patrick Swayze, he would've been great in these movies. Mel Gibson? Kurt Russell?

Dudikoff for the win. They need and American Ninja!!!!
I hope in the sequel, there will be more amazing fight scenes.
If Chuck Norris and Jean Claude Van Damme are now confirmed, it would be good if they include Jackie Chan, Steven Seagal, Michael Jai White, Kurt Angle and Bill Goldberg.
