Clint Eastwood is arguably one of the greatest directors of our time, and quite possibly of all-time.  He is debuting, I believe, a film for the fifth time at the AFI Fest in Hollywood taking place at the beginning of November.

The film is J. Edgar starring Leonardo DiCaprio in the title role along with Armie Hammer, Josh Lucas, Lea Thompson, Judi Dench, and the great Stephen Root.

As the face of law enforcement in America for almost 50 years, J. Edgar Hoover was feared and admired, reviled and revered. But behind closed doors, he held secrets that would have destroyed his image, his career and his life.

I couldn't believe that the Eastwood/DiCaprio team had never assembled before, but looking over the IMDB credits it appears that they have not.  This is going to be an incredible film.  I have never held much interest in the subject of J. Edgar Hoover, but I guess Mr. Eastwood has given me reason to.
