Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 10:19AM Seth Rogen Won't Be in The 'Knocked Up' Spin-Off?

Ever since I learned there would be a spin-off of Judd Apatow's Knocked Up, I assumed Seth Rogen was destined to be a major part of it. Not so. It turns out in the next film, This is Forty we'll only see Paul Rudd, Leslie Mann (Mrs. Apatow), and Jason Segel revise their former roles, according to Movies.com.
It's not all gloom and doom though, as Rogen is preparing for his next film with long-time writing partner Evan Goldberg (Pineapple Express) on a comedy called Jay and Seth vs the Apocalypse. The movie will star Rogen and his pal Jay Baruchel, and is based on a trailer (below) of the same name the two made a few years ago, only expanded into a movie.
Both Goldberg and Rogen plan to give co-directing a shot for Jay and Seth vs the Apocalypse and are looking to start production in February.
Here's the trailer from which the movie is based. It looks like The Odd Couple meets Pineapple Express to me, especially with Rogen's dialogue.
What do you guys think of this trailer? Is there a movie here?
