Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 5:35PM 'Finding Nemo' 3D Teaser Trailer Released

Say what you will about 3D, but it has one side effect that I'm overjoyed with: Studios are releasing classic films back into the theaters. One of my most memorable cinema experiences was getting to see 2001: A Space Odyssey in an actual movie theater, and 3D is allowing me to watch more films I love that way, instead of on a laptop screen. One of those films is Finding Nemo, which is next in line after Beauty and the Beast to be released in that format.
Nemo actually makes a lot more sense to be released in 3D than the other Disney movies so far, because of the environment in which the characters move around. If it's implemented well, I can really see how some of the scenes could pop out visually even more than they did in 2D. Imagine getting to see Marlin and Dory get eaten by the whale with actual depth perception. Even if you don't like 3D, you can always just catch one of the 2D showings, so everybody wins. Anyone agree with me?
