Monday, January 16, 2012 at 10:02PM Idris Elba Returning for 'Thor 2'

The already confirmed Thor 2 is already putting its ducks in a row. First Marvel Studios hired a new director in Alan Taylor, having directed some wonderful episodes on HBO’s Game of Thrones, and already having titular character Thor played by a returning Chris Hemsworth. Now comes word, albeit brief, that Idris Elba will be returning.
Elba played Heimdall in the Marvel film and spoke with MTV when they asked about “future appearances in the Marvel Universe”:
"Thor 2 for sure,… We're going at it again."
MTV then reported that Elba “had not yet met with Alan Taylor,” and when asked if he’ll be appearing in Marvel’s The Avengers (directed by Joss Whedon, May 4 2012), he confirmed “that he hasn't been involved (at least so far) in that project.”
Jaimie Alexander is also returning to Asgard and dashing heroine Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) and scorned brother/archnemesis Loki (played by scene-stealer Tom Hiddleston) are also confirmed for the sequel.
Thor 2 will be in theaters November 15, 2013.
