'The Avengers' Grace the Covers of Empire Online

Perhaps the greatest upcoming summer season of movies is almost upon us.  The second biggest (Sorry folks The Dark Knight Rises should be huge) summer blockbuster, Joss Whedon's The Avengers grace the covers of the next Empire Online issue along with some new images from the movie hitting the shelves on January 26th.

This soon to be top Marvel movie ever, just a hunch, is still several months away from arriving in theaters (May 4th), but you wouldn't know by all the recent publicity it's received.  Whether it's Whedon saying the perspective of the film will come from the eyes of Captain America to the new images we have today, this cast of Avengers are a hot topic.

Here are the Empire Online covers "Choose Your Own Avenger", featuring the rockstar or impromptu leader of the bunch Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Scarlett Jo and the rest.

Now the new images inside this weeks Empire.

Captain America gets today's paper from that guy from Snakes on a Plane.

Count on seeing more on The Avengers here at GTBP between now and May 4, 2012.
