Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 10:18PM 'The Hangover III' Launching Production Soon?

The Hangover II was far from funny, but that hasn't stopped Warner Bros. from rolling out the red carpet for Todd Phillips, Zach Galfianakis, Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms to return for a third installment. THR reports shooting on The Hangover III will likely start this summer with hopes that it will be ready in time for a May 24, 2013 release.
Apparently, the trio of stars have asked for more money this time around, allegedly $15 million apiece to reprise their iconic roles and the studio will likely accept their demands. The guys made $1 million for the first and $5 million each for the second, so a raise is justified. I guess if I was following up a shitty sequel to then star in another sequel I'd ask for a fat paycheck too.
Last I heard, and this may have just been rumor fodder, is that Phil (Cooper), Stu (Helms) and Doug (Justin Bartha) will be busting Alan (Galfianakis) out of the insane asylum in the next movie. Don't quote me on that though.
I'm reluctant to watch a third go-around with these characters since the second film was full of recycled, predictable jokes. Unfortunately, the temptation to see a Galfianakis comedy will likely be too great to pass up, and I'll stand in line to see what these knuckle heads do to themselves a third time.
