Here we go again. Another Underworld movie is being released in a theater near you and you may or may not be one of those people who goes to watch the film and somehow convince that the franchise is still "going strong". Sorry to say, but like all franchises in Hollywood, Underworld: Awakening has lost some major steam. See the newly released clip after the jump.
Although, I had high hopes for directing duo Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein for Underworld: Awakening. Who am I to say that if the movie covers its production and makes a shinny penny for the studio, that there shouldn't be a sequel. Clearly, there's people going to watch the film. Albeit, its not the same moviegoers that watched the first film in theaters.
"Beckinsale, star of the first two films, returns in her lead role as the vampire warrioress Selene, who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species."
Yahoo! Movies has released a new clip:
The film is being releases in 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters on 20 January 2012. Starring Kate Beckinsale, Stephen Rea, Michael Ealy, Theo James, India Eisley and Charles Dance.
