Blu-Ray Releases: October 23th, 2012

Tyler Perry is having trouble bringing in the dough for Alex Cross but with Madea’s Witness Protection releasing today, I don’t think he minds too much.  Madea merchandise moves fast on DVD, so TP will be earning a huge paycheck pretty soon.  Also, Magic Mike is releasing on Blu-ray, and though there wasn’t a review for this film, I thoroughly enjoyed it.  It was interesting to say the least and took turns that I didn’t see coming – zing!  Pun was surely not intended but I managed to sneak it in there.

If you’re a guy who wants nothing to do with watching a Channing Tatum film about male strippers, I’ll have you know Kevin Nash dancing in the corners is the best return on investment for this film.  And Matthew McConaughey’s performance is great as well.

Magic Mike

Channing Tatum, Matthew McConaughey, Kevin Nash, Matt Bomer, Alex Pettyfer, Olivia Munn, Cody Horn.  Directed by Steven Soderbergh.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Benjamin Walker, Rufus Sewell, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie.  Directed by Timur Bekmambetov

Abraham Lincoln, one of America's greatest Presidents, actually fought a civil war with Vampires.  This is his true story.

Madea's Witness Protection

Tyler Perry, Tyler Perry, Tyler Perry, Eugene Levy, Denise Richards, Tom Arnold.  Directed by Tyler Perry

Madea stars in this (hilarious?) new movie where she engages in crazy antics but this time she heads to NY because she's in witness protection.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World

Steve Carell, Keira Knightley.  Directed by Lorene Scafaria

A planet is about to crash course into Earth.  Carell's wife leaves him so he sets off on a trip to visit his high school sweetheart before everyone dies.

Blade Runner

Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young.  Directed by Ridley Scott

Deckard, a blade runner, has to track down and terminate 4 replicants who hijacked a ship in space and have returned to earth seeking their maker. –– Courtesy of IMDb.com

I never seen this but I think this is my chance.

Also, check out Medal of Honor: Warfighter.  EA is doing a promotion where you can play on a map found in the latest Kathryn Bigelow film, Zero Dark Thirty.  It's pretty cool, if you think about it.
