Friday, November 16, 2012 at 4:20AM 'Admission' Trailer Brings College Buds Fey & Rudd Together for The Kids

America's sweetheart Tina Fey pairs up with straight man comedian Paul Rudd for the new film Admission. Unfortunately, Paul Weitz's movie leans more dramedy than comedy. In Admission, Fey plays Portia Nathan, a college recruiter at Princeton who reunites with an old college pal John (Rudd) that runs an alternative high school. It's in this school where Portia meets a quirky teen named Jeremiah, and everyone begins to suspect he's her son, meanwhile a romantic spark forms between her and John.
The film looks entertaining and dare I say cute, but kind of on the predictable side. Paul Weitz is the director behind hits like About a Boy and American Pie, though is also responsible for the painfully bad Meet the Parents sequel Little Fockers. Admission feels a lot like About a Boy, which I hope translates into memorable drama on March 8, 2013. It does have a great cast working in its favor.
