'Wet Hot American Summer' Sequel Confirmed?

Attention hipsters!  On last night’s Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live, Michael Showalter seemingly confirmed that a Wet Hot American Summer sequel will indeed happen.  He responded to a twitter question on the possibly of a sequel with; “Absolutely, yes,” he said. “One hundred percent yes. The whole gang — everyone is back. We’re doing it.”

That whole gang he refers to includes Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Banks, Janeane Garofalo, David Hyde Pierce, Christopher Meloni, Molly Shannon and Michael Ian Black.

Being that he was also a co-writer, Showalter may know something before other members of the cast.  That question comes up because we also learned that fellow cast member Michael Ian Black, apparently responded with his own tweet with “I just found out there's going to be a Wet Hot American Summer sequel from @mshowalter on TV. Apparently, I'm not in it.”  Black later added, “I really don't think this is true.”

Could this be nothing more than an early April Fool’s joke?  We’ll find out soon enough.
