It was is arguably the most postmodern take on the history of the United States and one of the countrys most prominent president. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter certainly has a X factor when concerned with audience reception, even if produced by Tim Burton. Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have new photos to go with our “je ne sais quoi” attitude.

Even though genre fare like vampires are doing a collective haul at the box office, having something iconic worries even the least skeptical. Benjamin Walker plays the titular vampire slayer and says:
“It’s not a sermon in any way, but it is interesting to look at vampires as the all-encompassing, unspeakable, unknowable evil… This evil moves among us, and maybe lives next door. It’s an ideology that we don’t fully understand, but they live by it.”

Based on the best-selling historical/horror novel by Seth Grahame-Smith, who also wrote Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, is directed Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted). Walker goes on to say of its ridiculous sounding title that “[the] joke is in the title, and then we fully commit to it[.]”
