Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 7:28AM ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ New 3D Trailer

The news surrounding Sony Pictures’ re-boot of the Spider-Man franchise just continues to roll in. Just days after our own Mario Melidona reported on the release of the “Official Synopsis” and associated press conference, Sony launched this 3D trailer online for their upcoming July 4th summer blockbuster. The Amazing Spider-Man is directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) and stars; Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Denis Leary, and Campbell Scott (The Exocism of Emily Rose).
Check it out below:
Besides this latest and greatest trailer, the marketing blitz includes a rumored eight minutes of raw footage being screened in NYC, LA, Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Mexico City, Moscow, Rio, Rome, Seoul, Sydney, and Tokyo. With the premiere still five months away you have to wonder why there is such a huge "PR" push now. Is it because the legion of Spidey-fans still publicly support the former web-slinger, (Tobey Maguire) and are angry that he was collateral damage in the war between the studio and Sam Raimi?
I've been a fan of this Marvel franchise since my childhood and distinctly remember being unsure if Mr. Maguire could pull off being the wise-cracking-wall-crawler, so I’m going to reserve judgment on Mr. Garfield’s web-slinging abilities until the end credits roll up on July 4th.

I have to say that I was blown away from this trailer expecting the worst. This looks like a much ballsy-er take on Spiderman. will definitely be seeing this on the midnight showing.
I'm with you on that....this just might work after all.
