Pattinson Kills It in Crazy Intense 'Cosmopolis' Teaser Trailer

Director David Cronenberg has established himself as a talented filmmaker by pushing the envelope with his semi-controversial films, like A Dangerous Method and A History of Violence.  Cronenberg looks to do it again after he wrote and directed the upcoming drama/thriller Cosmopolis, which follows Twilight star Robert Pattison, a young multi-millionaire during his 24-hour stint of living large in Manhattan.

Of course, the new international teaser trailer shows a sample size of just how wildly bizarre this youthful player's evening actually is.  What surprises me most about this brief 34 second glimpse at Cronenberg's next film is the performance of Pattinson, as he fights, screws and shoots his way towards experiencing more in his life of luxury.  Shooting through his hand with a pistol easily being the most outrageous act I've seen in any trailer this year.

I guess I had Pattinson pegged all wrong, as the kid clearly has real acting chops.  We'll get to see it for ourselves when Cosmopolis rides into theaters some time this year.  Too bad there's no exact release date yet.  This one looks nucking futs.
