'Jurassic Park 4' Secures Top Shelf Writers

Mr. T-Rex isn't the only one hungry for more sequels...Some GTBP writers have recently dissed a variety of sequels, Wanted 2 for example dubbing them unnecessary.  And while many fans and critics alike would poo poo another Jurassic Park movie, I think it's a damn good idea.  Let's face it, Jurrasic Park 3 was borderline okay and failed to cap off the successful franchise, thus Jurassic Park 4 enters the discussion.  Universal has been in go mode forever and now just locked down a pair of writers to get the ball rolling.

Deadline reported that the studio has grabbed Rise of the Planet of the Apes screenwriters Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver for their script, which will see Steven Speilberg return as producer.  An encouraging addition to this dinosaur saga, as I thought the storyline of Apes was outstanding and far better than what I envisioned.  Let's just say these writers know a thing or two about creating vicious creatures.

With how far special effects have come since we last experienced Michael Crichton's dinosaurs on the big screen (2001) led by t-rex and his angry raptor pals, this movie is sure to greatly improve the movie going experience and score at the box-office.  Not to mention giving us a movie worthy of 3D for a change, other than Prometheus.

Here's a sequel I'm down to see and dare I say looking forward to.  Who's with me?

PS Please no more Jeff Goldblum though...

Don't forget The Avengers was excellent in 3D as well! I am very excited to see another Jurassic Park. Hopefully they have more T-Rex and less Raptor though. T-Rex just comes off as much more terrifying for some reason. And why all this hate on Jeff Goldblum? So what if he kind of plays the same character in all his movie roles. I love the way he brings that kind of subtle and wise guy humor to all his roles. Loved him in Independence Day
