Any other Wu-Tang Clan fans out there ready to see the bands lyrical exploits brought to life on the silver screen? That's exactly what lies ahead for us in the upcoming kung-fu, samurai-heavy extravaganza The Man with the Iron Fists, which was directed/written by and stars Wu-Tang member the RZA. We have the new red band trailer for this 36 Chambers meets Kill Bill adventure below and needless to say it's nuckin' futs, and gory. You can definitely recognize the Taratino influence in the preview.
The Man with the Iron Fists features RZA as the titular character, a blacksmith who makes weapons for a small Chinese village and must protect his neck from all the warriors, assasins and separate clans vying for the throne. Call it a battle royale of sorts to see which warrior(s) has the stones and sword skills to seize the power. Lucy Liu, Russell Crowe and WWE's Bautista, who looks like a gold-colored Colossus from X-Men co-star as RZA's competition here.
This RZA and Eli Roth scripted tale looks over the top to me, but there's no question the audience for it will be big and box-office gold will be struck once its in theaters.
