I first saw an international trailer for Tom Cruise's new action flick Jack Reacher on Sunday, but sadly was unable to share it due to copyright issues. Now thankfully an American version is readily available for all movie fans to see what our leading man has been up to post-Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol and Rock of Ages. In Lee Child's novel turned feature film, Cruise goes off as a homicide investigator/vigilante who's on the hunt for a psycho sniper.
As you'll see in the trailer, the best way to catch a bad guy is by using a fellow bad guy, Jack Reacher. Cruise in his own narrative here admits he's the anti-hero and then drives around in a hot rod, snapping necks and cashing checks (i.e. fighting).
I'm so relieved to see Cruise in an anti-hero role again, it's been far too long since Collateral. Sadly we have to wait until December 21st to see Christopher McQuarrie's (The Way of the Gun) film and that quite frankly is too damn long. Check out what Jack Reacher has in store for us.
