Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 11:07AM 'Paranormal Activity 4' Trailer Isn't Scary But Quite Interesting
Another year, another Paranormal Activity.
Paramount has finally found their Saw with Paranormal Activity, a new horror series that produces sequel and after sequel after sequel. Unlike Saw, I enjoyed all of the films the PA series so far and am looking forward to each new iteration. I groaned when Saw II was announced and was ecstatic when PA2 and PA3 were announced so you can probably feel my excitement for Paranormal Activity 4.
The directors from the last and best film of the series, Paranormal Activity 3, Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman return, so I am excited for that. They jolted a new breath in the series, made the characters feel three-dimensional and made us actually care what would happen to the main character, unlike the first one where it felt as though it was forcing me to like those characters. A controversy from the PA series is that each trailer has specifically made footage not in the film and I am okay with that. Check out the first full length teaser below:
At first, I was unsure whether this took place around the events or PA1 and 2 or 2006 but this takes place in 2011 making Hunter, the baby from 2 about five or six. I can say that I am excited to see what is going to happen to Hunter and Katie and Ali Rey, if they decide to bring her back. I like this new direction they are taking the series. Bonus: Check out the poster and don't forget to demand to your city first.

Just have to note that the trailer's Skype segment is totally ripped from the much more superior executed sequence from the horror-anthology film V/H/S . Just saying.
