WWE to Lay Smackdown on Scooby and the Gang

So earlier this week I, for lack of something better going on, watched Scooby-Doo! and the Monster of Mexico and found myself sorely disappointed in the lack of quality of the franchises straight to video feature length films as of late.  I realized that this is due to the fact that Warner Bros. is willing to put out anything Scooby-Doo! related that hits feature length and use it as a license to print money.  As such, WB has partnered with WWE Studios for an upcoming straight to video animated film.

On this adventure Shaggy and Scoob score some tickets to WrestleMania and the gang rolls out to WWE City.  Everything is going great until a monstrous bear begins to terrorize the town.  The only solution is to put everyone’s favorite detectives on the case along with a new cast of friends.

The new feature will include a veritable cavalcade of WWE Superstars and Divas such as AJ Lee, John Cena, Kane, Triple H, Santino Marella, Brodus Clay, Sin Cara and The Miz appearing in all their animated glory.  Naturally, as with every WWE event ever, CEO Vince McMahon himself will make an appearance.

Although we’ve seen the gang take the Mystery Machine to the city coliseum a few times before, notably in the A Pup Named Scooby Doo and What’s New, Scooby Doo? TV series, but this will be the first time the gang has gone into the ring with actual licensed wrestlers.

There isn’t even a title yet so no word on a release date but keep in tune if you want to find out if Shaggy turns heels and slams Fred in the back with a folding chair.
