Blu-ray Releases: August 21st, 2012

Last week was a great in comparison to the lackluster titles that have been stocked on store shelves for the past month or so.  This week seems to stay consistent with the Oscar Award winning film for Best Foreign Picture, A Separation.  This film has been on my definitely must watch list since last year and I’m glad to see it make the rounds on Blu-ray DVD.  That and Bernie, the film starring Jack Black and Matthew McConaughey.  The true story of a mortician who kills an annoying woman and tries his best to keep a façade that she’s alive.

A Separation

Peyman Moadi, Leila Hatami, Sareh Bayat, Shahab Hosseini.  Directed by Asghar Farhadi

Won the Foreign film Oscar and Nominated for Best Original Screenplay, the first Iranian film to do so.

Bernie

The Dictator
