Monday, August 6, 2012 at 4:09AM 'Scary Movie 5' to Welcome Lindsay Lohan & Charlie Sheen

I guess, if anything, it should be noted that Dimension Films Scary Movie franchise is a job creator and continues to offer work to actors where no one else will. Keeping in this tradition Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen are set to join the cast of Scary Movie 5, so say reports from E!. Sheen isn’t so much of a surprise as he was already in both Scary Movie 3 and 4. The pair joins Ashley Tisdale of High School Musical. Comedian Kevin Hart is also rumored to be involved.
I’d like to say something about optimistic about Malcolm D. Lee directing because I have a soft spot for Undercover Brother but honestly, there’s only so much you can do with a franchise that was beating a dead horse two movies ago.
The plot, as though it even matters at this point, will revolve around three dancers who compete for an important lead in a new production. Veteran dancer Heather Daltry, played by Lohan, gets cut in favor of the younger, perkier dancers and goes crazy. Mayhem and hilarity supposedly will ensue. I’m also assuming that there will be lots of stale pop culture jokes to go with your stale popcorn.
It's probably not necessary that you’ve seen the previous four films to jump right in. The film is prepped for release on April 19, 2013.
