Now I'm just excited as the next woman to swoon whenever the always sexy Channing Tatum graces any screen with his drop dead gorgeous self. He's been in comedies, dance films, romances, even a fizzled action epic. And here he comes again; guarding the president. Does this guy ever stop?!
The thriller White House Down stars Tatum as a service agent protecting the president (Jamie Foxx) while the White House is under attack. But instead of a Thanksgiving 2013 release date, when most political thrillers are rolled out, it's been catapulted to the summer. And here come the questions. Why compete with a Ryan Reynolds film and a Vince Vaughn knee slapper? Will Tatum go from a rising top billed commodity to the hot dude that's in the throw away flick that ends up competing with blockbusters (here's looking at you Total Recall)?
Who knows. I may be burned out on seeing this pretty boy in everything and a tiny part of me hopes this "save the black president" thriller deflates his success raft just a bit. I'd just like to get through a couple of months without the Tatum tornado. Unless he's nude. I'm just being honest!
