Blu-Ray Releases: September 11th, 2012

How I feel about this week's releases

You should know by the title alone, this is the Blu-ray releases of the week and, just like last week, is quite atrocious.  Ugh, I really can't stand it when I'm looking forward to see what's coming out, and I see nothing but crap.  I’m going through the list and I can only see maybe two movies worth your time.  It’s sad really.  If you’re looking for my most honest opinion, I’m so excitedly looking forward to Cabin in the Woods next week and you should save your money for it.  Why would you spend your money on Snow White and the Huntsman, anyway?

Snow White and the Huntsman

Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart, Sam Spruell.  Directed by Rupert Sanders

A ‘bold’ retelling of the Snow White fairy tale where Snow White is written out of character as a warrior.

Read David Hoffman’s review here.  Take my word on it, too; this s#!t sucked.

What to Expect When You’re Expecting

Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker, Elizabeth Banks, Chris Rock, Anna Kendrick.  Directed by Kirk Jones

A comedy film based on how-to/self-help book.   Nothing special here.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Billy Zane.  Directed by James Cameron

The classic, $2 billion earner returns on Blu-ray and 3D Blu-ray just to make some extra cash.  Didn’t you know that James Cameron is broke because is his last film wasn’t that successful.  Bummer.

Made available on Monday September 10, 2012.

With a couple of slow weeks for new film releases, the future seems bright for the next couple of weeks.  Keep calm and save your cash until then.
