Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 2:22PM 'Robopocalypse' Circling Catwoman & Thor for Leads?

No strangers to blockbusters, Anne Hathaway and Chris Hemsworth reportedly have their hearts set on joining another big movie. According to THR, this super pair of actors want the leads in Steve Spielberg's big screen adaptation of Robopocalypse. But is the feeling mutual?
Talks between The Dark Knight Rises star and Spielberg's crew are considered in the "early stages", and Hemsworth's involvement is mostly just speculation and rumors at this point. It's been months since Deadline reported about Thor wanting in the film and meeting with Spielberg. I guess we'll have to take a wait and see approach with him to see what shakes out.
The aim is to have the film, based on best-selling novel by Daniel H. Wilson of a future where humans are completely dependent on robots finished in time for a April 25, 2014 release. Hopefully negotiations don't drag on too far here. I'd like to see both of them headline this movie.
Both Hathaway and Hemsworth played major roles in the two biggest blockbusters of last summer, The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises. They're also attached to some exciting upcoming projects as well. Hathaway has Les Miserables coming up, and Hemsworth has the Red Dawn remake and sequels galore, which is to say they'll be fine if Robopocalypse doesn't work for them.
