Jason Bateman Gets Posterized as The Sucker in 'Identity Thief'

Cinema Blend already shared my same opinion that Jason Bateman is the best straight man actor in comedies, so I'll start this article another way...As a devoted Arrested Development follower, I'll usually see any movie Bateman is in.  His newest comedy Identity Thief definitely fits the bill, plus it also stars the hilarious Melissa McCarthy from Bridesmaids.

Today we get a look at character posters from Identity Thief.  Bateman's the clueless victim, and McCarthy is the wolf in sheep's clothing thief.  Check them out after the jump...

Bateman's poster cracks me up, and there's not much to it.  The look says it all, really.  I guess it's that "straight man" quality I touched on early.

McCarthy has the look of a real sweatheart here, perfect for the role of the grifter.

As you may have figured out by the posters, McCarthy steals Bateman's identity in Seth Gordon's new film.  Unfortunately, we don't have much story info beyond that.  Gordon was the filmmaker behind  Horrible Bosses and the documentary The King of Kong, so I'm optimistic Identity Thief will deliver laughs by the truck load.

Mark your calendar for February 8, 2013 when this little gem arrives.
