Blu-ray Releases: January 1st, 2013

Happy New Year, ladies and gentlemen of GTBP!   It’s January 1st, I hope you all had a wonderful time last night while we were entering the New Year. I know I did.  But since the new year happened to land on a Tuesday some new DVDs and Blu-rays are releasing.  Not much, actually. Just Cosmoplis from David Cronenberg and Looper from Rian Johnson, which was released yesterday.

Looper

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt.  Directed by Rian Johnson

In the future time travel will exist and the mob will have control over it.  They hire loopers, hitmen from the past to eradicate targets sent from the future.  Joe is a looper and his next target is… his future self.

 Cosmopolis

Robert Pattinson, Juliette Binoche, Sarah Gadon.  Directed by David Cronenberg

Something about a guy going to get who meets some new people, all while never leaving his limo.  It's a weird premise but the trailer makes it look pretty.
