Since starring in the original Swedish Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Noomi Rapace has done pretty well for herself in mainstream Hollywood. We saw her in blockbusters Prometheus and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, and she did a fine job in both of those films. Now, she's reuniting with director Niels Arden Oplev and teaming up with Colin Farrell for Dead Man Down, a crime thriller that looks like it will fit in fine alongside the Millennium trilogy.
Dead Man Down tells the story of a gangster and a mysterious woman who team to up to kill the gangster's boss, played by Terrence Howard.
You don't directly see Rapace in the clip, but you hear her, and it's implied that this is the information that she uses to get Farrell's character Victor under control. It's an effective clip to show, I have to admit. Without giving us much, it shows us the intense nature of the film, it shows us that Farrell is a killer, and it shows manipulation going on between the two leads, which adds a whole new level of tension to the whole scheme.
Dead Man Down is set for a March 8 release.
