New 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' Details Released Through Casting

In todays world of the internet and camera phones, it's hard to keep anything a secret.  And when The Amazing Spider-Man 2 starts shooting, we can guarantee that all kinds of details will come out.  Even before filming has begun, though details are starting to slip through the cracks.  For the Spider-fans out there, we have a scene revealed through a leaked casting call, a new actress and a rumored part, and a new part of the Spider-Man costume.

First off, Sony sent out a casting call looking for people act in a funeral scene, one that will be filming in a cemetery in Queens.  Sounds like a major character is going to die in the next flick.

Next, the actress Felicity Jones (Like Crazy) has been cast for a specific part.  The rumor going around is that she's playing Black Cat.  Of course, that would put her in the film alongside Electro, Norman Osbourne, Harry Osbourne, and The Rhino for major comic characters who will play a part in the film.  If the rumors are true, let's hope it doesn't suffer from Spider-Man 3 syndrome and cram too many characters in to have a coherent plot.

Finally, we have something direct from the creators:director Marc Webb posted the following picture, along with the message #TheBetterToSeeYouWith:

It looks like a bigger set of eyes for the old Web Head.  That may not be some that makes for a huge change in the overall movie, but it's good to know that they're tweaking the costume as they go.

The Amazing Spider-Man is set to start filming soon and will be released on May 2, 2014.
