George Lucas Retiring, Still Needs to Make Amends for 'Crystal Skull'

Neil Young once stated in a song lyric that it’s better to burn out than to fade away.  So is it?   George Lucas, who after creating two of the greatest trilogies of all time, left on the high note.   He then returned to not only destroy the mighty worlds he created but alienated pretty much his entire fan base in the process.  And now it seems he’s officially walking away from the ruin.  According to an interview with Empire Magazine, Lucas is retiring from all things Lucasfilm related.

'That's My Boy' Clips Not Exactly the Disaster I Was Expecting

Summer is upon us kids and that can only mean that a new Adam Sandler movie is on the horizon.  And we, the movie going public, begin to speculate and cringe at the thought of just how bad his new movie could be.  Given his recent track record, it’s always even money that his newest movie will be worse than the last ones.  But I got to be honest, after watching these clips from Adam’s new movie That’s My Boy; he may buck that trend.  Check them out.

'Expendables 2' Fan Trailer is TCB (Taking Care of Business)

The Expendables 2 trailer (see it here) that came out a while back did nothing to excite me.  In fact it made me want to see the movie even less than I did before I saw the trailer. So while doing a fantastic job of turning me off might be awarded in some circles, this isn’t why we’re here.  We’re here to get excited about things.  Thank God though for the fans who, just like me, want to see it done right.  Enter the fan made trailer for Expendables 2.  Two words: Kick ass.

Hasselhoff Angry at Nick Fury Snub, Everyone Else Completely OK With it

(Insert Own Joke Here)

Sad news of the week part 2:  First we learned that G.I Joe: Retaliation was getting pushed to March 2013 for “3D conversion” (read, no confidence in movie).  Then yesterday we learned that one of America’s most respected actors and who, in many circles, is the ultimate Nick Fury: David Hasselhoff, was shunned from  donning the eye patch for the recent run of Marvel films leading up to The Avengers.  This is an outrage…wait…sorry; I can’t keep myself from laughing as I write this.  The Hoff as Nick Fury… Oh wait, this gets better.

Red Band 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter' Trailer Loses its Head

If there is one movie that I am most curious about this summer, it’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.  I’ll admit, I never read the book and was a little naïve about it.  At first I honestly thought the story was going to be in the vein of Zombieland and a little tongue in cheek.  Then I saw the trailer and was a little shocked at how serious it took itself.  But I’m intrigued by it and now a little bit more so with this  just released red band trailer.  It’s a bloody good time.
