'Doctor Strange' Gets A Pretty Typical Director

Scott Derrickson has had a... diverse career. He first came on to the popular scene with the mediocre-but-still-interesting Exorcism of Emily Rose. Then came the pretty bad Day the Earth Stood Still.  Finally there was Sinister, which I still haven't seen, but I've heard is fantastic.  Now, he's throwing us for another loop with the upcoming Dr. Strange movie, the next Marvel movie to be officially added to the conveyor belt.

Channing Tatum To Pick Up The Cards As 'Gambit'

I was almost completely certain that X-Men: Days of Future Past was going to suck, with two many characters and a really convoluted plot.  According to critics, however, it doesn't. New 'Interstellar' Poster Tells Us...A Little More

Remember back when the first Inception trailer came out?  It said nothing, and yet it managed to transfix everyone.  They seemed to attempt the same feat again with the first Interstellar trailer, but it didn't seem to to have the same effect on everyone.  We'll probably need to see some substantial quality before we'll trust in such a vague premise.  Here's the first poster for the film, and while it gives us a small plot detail, it may not be enough to win people over.

Matt Smith Regenerates Career, Joins 'Terminator: Genesis'

Terminator: Genesis remains one of the biggest wildcards among future movies for me.  After the huge disappointment that was Terminator: Salvation, I think the world kind of assumed that the franchise was down for the count, but Genesis has managed to make it through thick and thin, even getting some interesting casting announcements.  The most recent one is Matt Smith, a name familiar to Doctor Who fans and probably no one else.

Apes With Guns: New 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' Screenshots

Rise of the Planet of the Apes was a success critically and commercially, but something weird happened to it when the excitement faded:  It just kind of dropped off the map.  Even with a sequel on the way, people don't seem to be talking about it that much.  Some movies have cultural viability, and some don't and I'm a bit worried that this whole franchise will wind up being a firm example of the latter. Here's a few new screenshots from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes that'll hopefully remedy that, though.
