'Total Recall' Remake's Plot Synopsis Released

Despite having the thick layer of cheese that comes with all Arnold Schwarzenegger flicks, Total Recall is one that holds up pretty well.  Its got a solid story with a surprisingly smart plot twist, and a great display of practically done special effects, so remaking it does seem pretty useless.  Of course, it actually differs a fair amount from the Philip K. Dick story its based on, so they could always just try to make it a more faithful adaptation.  Based off of the synopsis that's been released, however, they just seem to be making a carbon copy of the original.

Prison Thriller ‘The Tomb’ to Add Arnold?

Summit Entertainment wants Arnold Schwarzenegger to co-star with Sylvester Stallone in their upcoming prison thriller The Tomb.  Apparently the studio has been reading the huge press that these two former action-film-demi-gods have been getting with The Expendables and figures to parlay that into big profits of their own.

A few years back, The Tomb had another aging action star (Bruce Willis) and quality director (Antoine Fuqua) attached before the project went awry.  Deadline reports that Mikael Hafstrom (1408) is now in talks to direct.

Jaimie Alexander Joins Arnie for 'The Last Stand'

She battled side by side with Thor, the most powerful man in the universe last summer, and will now do the same with a man who once won Mr. Universe.  Variety reports, Nurse Jackie co-star Jaimie Alexander will star opposite of sheriff Arnold Schwarzenegger in Jee-woon Kim's The Last Stand.  Alexander will play Sarah Torrance, a border-town deputy to Sheriff Ray Owens (Arnie) who is trying to stop a drug cartel leader from escaping to Mexico.

Don't we all dream about stuff we believe should be a movie?  I certainly do and many scientists have somewhat successfully decided to put together a computer program to help us do just that.  A study in the Current Biology journal reveals the use of MRI scanners, among other electronic devices, to decipher the neaural activity of the brain into images.  Crazy right?

Two New Cast Members in for 'Expendables' Sequel

I was a bit disappointed of last years Expendables, though it boasted a talented, promising cast.  The film fell short but many people I know enjoyed it because Stallone brought together such action stars as Jet Li, Jason Statham, and Mickey Rourke.  Well, the sequel's cast doubles its predecessor in quantity and "quality."  Worst Previews and Moviehole are reporting that Scott Adkins and Liam Hemsworth have offically just the Expendables 2.
