Rumor Patrol: 'Avatar 3' Begins Shooting In November?

I know this may seem a bit far-fetched and it could very well be but YouTube partner and host of the weekly YouTube show, "Movie Buzz" Peter Rallis has come out and stated that Avatar 3 is set to begin filming this November.  Apparently, Avatar 2 has wrapped production earlier this year.  

I don't know how true this rumor is but for now I'm leaning toward true.  If Jim Cameron wants to release these films Christmas of 2014 and 2015, post-production would need to begin about now.  After all, Avatar was in production since March 2008, well over a year before its release in December 2009.

Sigourney Weaver Reveals 'Avatar 2' & 'Ghostbusters 3' Plot Points

James Cameron favorite, Avatar star Sigourney Weaver created a stir over the weekend with talk about two anticipated sequels.  The actress is currently making the interview rounds for the Taylor Lautner action film Abduction, and revealed major plot points from the future Avatar sequels and Ghostbusters 3.

Is it any surprise reporters are asking Weaver about future installments of blockbuster films instead of the awful-looking Abduction?  Not from where I'm sitting.

Sam Worthington Talks 'Avatar' Sequels, Sort of

Big budget actor extraordinaire Sam Worthington, while out promoting his next film The Debt, was naturally asked what's next for James Cameron's Avatar.  We know sequels to the highest grossing film of all time are coming just not when.

Parody of 'Avatar' in 'The Biggest Movie Ever 3D' in Pre-Production

Well I guess it was only a matter of time.  After grossing over $2.7 billion in worldwide box office,  Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer are back at it again with a parody of Avatar called The Biggest Movie of All Time 3D.  This will be the first spoof ever to be filmed in 3D.  Friedberg and Seltzer were the ones behind other spoofs such as Scary Movie, Date Movie, and Epic Movie.

'Avatar 2 and 3' Shoots in Manhattan Beach, CA

A 585,000 square-foot facility will be the new home of motion-capture photography production to be used in Avatar 2 and 3.  It is reported that James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment will move in there for the next several years while Avatar 2 and 3 are being produced.  Avatar 2 is scheduled to release in 2014 and Avatar 3 will release in 2015 so the production crew will be there for awhile.

Manhattan Beach, is a beautiful location on the waters of southern Califonia so I'm sure the crew will love their new location.  A facility that big in Manhattan Beach is extremely expensive but I guess thats what happens when you're pretty much given a blank check to make the most visually stunning film to date.
