Nolan Discusses 'The Dark Knight Rises' 8 Years Later Premise

Christopher Nolan dropped a juicy bombshell during an interview with Empire Magazine that many of us may not have known about The Dark Knight Rises: the film takes place eight years after The Dark Knight.  I think my brain just exploded!  Does this mean Gotham City citizens are over the tragic death of Harvey Dent and Batman is no longer in hiding from the law?

Nolan explained why there's a time jump a little more in a recent interview with Hero Complex.  Here's what he had to say.

Wondering Where 'The Dark Knight Rises' Prologue Is Showing and What It's About?

Batwing Crashes into Street Light 'The Dark Knight Rises' Grounded For Few Hours

He may be a superhero, but he can't drive!

If you were one of the onlookers at the filming of Dark Knight Rises this weekend in Pittsburgh, you probably wondered, "was that suppose to happen?", after you saw a vehicle crash into a street light.  Sadly, no it's not suppose to happen.

The Batwing speeding down the downtown streets during a chase scene veered off course and crash into a street light sending parts flying as you can see in the pictures below second by second:

New Batmobile? Fan Photo From Set Shows a New Vehicle for 'Dark Knight Rises'

The lack of security on the set of Dark Knight Rises has revealed many parts of the movie.  We've seen Batman fighting Bane, Joseph Gordon-Levitt walking around with a gas can, and now we have a photo of a never before seen vehicle.  I'm not sure if this will be a land or air vehicle in the movie but it does resemble the same design discipline as the tumblers.
