First Look at Sci-Fi Comedy ‘Neighborhood Watch’

We want to thank 20th Century Fox for releasing the first photos from the upcoming Neighborhood Watch sci-fi film, starring Ben Stiller (Tower Heist), Vince Vaughn (The Dilemma), Jonah Hill (The Sitter), Billy Crudup (Eat Pray Love), and Will Forte (A Good Old Fashioned Orgy).  This original comedy is directed by Akiva Schaffer (Hot Rod) and slated to hit theaters on July 27th, 2012.

The official plot: “Suburban dads form a neighborhood watch group to get time away from their families, only to discover a plot to destroy Earth."

General Motors to Finance A 'Cannonball Run' Remake By Guy Ritchie?

Movies have always been ideal vehicles for product placement and advertising.  One slumping American Auto Manufacturer, GMC (General Motor Company) is looking to take that Hollywood tradition one step further by co-financing The Canonball Run remake currently being developed by Warner Bros.  The studio wants a Snatch reunion (that sounds bad) by getting director Guy Ritchie behind the wheel and Brad Pitt in the J.J. McClure role previously held by Burt Reynolds.  While, GMC would love to showcase some of its new car and truck models in the film.

When I hear of a documentary, I immediately have to check it out.  Documentaries capture something that actors rarely present on screen and that's real life raw human emotion and soul.  Now, Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfield are working with Walt Disney Pictures to 'remake' Quantum Hoops, according to Deadline.

Ben Stiller, Casey Affleck & Has Beens in New Trailer & Poster for 'Tower Heist'

Looks like Ben Stiller's streak of shit movies continues its rampage adding the comedy Tower Heist to the growing list, coming out November 4, 2011.  The worst part is he somehow convinced talented actors like Casey Affleck (the other Affleck) and Michael Pena to join a cast with a couple of 80's movie has beens in Eddie Murphy and Matthew Broderick.  Throw in the name of director Brett Ratner, and now Tower Heist really sounds awful.

Ben Stiller Back in the Director's Chair for 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty'

Is it a blessing in disguise that Ben Stiller wants to direct his next movie to star in?  The actor's movies as of late have been pretty bad, even counting Greenberg.  Looks like the comedian wants to snap out of his current funk by directing the film adaptation of James Thurber's short story The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Variety reports.

The story, which was originally published in 1939, follows the protagonist with a hyper active imagination, who day dreams of countless adventures as an escape from his ordinary life.
