Cool New 'Killer Elite' Posters from South Korea

Good news, GTBP is working even though it's Labor Day.  Later this month (September 23rd) Killer Elite starring Jason Statham and Clive Owen as rival assassins will be in theaters, and here we have three new character posters made from South Korea to share.

In Killer Elite, retired operative, Danny Bryce (Statham) must return to action when his mentor (Robert De Niro) is captured by Spike (Owen) his nemesis, who also dispatches three of his top killers after Bryce.

Clive Owen After Jason Statham in New Clip from 'Killer Elite'

Zoe Saldana's Colombiana has provided a nice little stop-gap of an action fix for moviegoers this weekend.  That is until a full slate of more superb looking thrillers and shoot 'em ups fill the calendar this September, but more on a busy September next week.  One of those potentially tantalizing popcorn flicks is the Killer Elite, which stars Jason Statham, Clive Owen and Robert DeNiro, and blasts its way into theaters on September 23rd.

The Story Unfolds in New Trailer for 'Killer Elite'

We had the first trailer for Killer Elite, starring Jason Statham, Clive Owen and Robert DeNiro a while back, and now have a new trailer that clues us into what the shoot 'em action is all about or in other words the plot.  Statham wrongs Owen by killing an associate of his, which leads Owen to kidnap DeNiro (Statham's mentor) but also send three of his top assassins after Statham.  Still with me?

May the Best Man Live in the New Poster for 'Killer Elite'

The Killer Elite starring Jason Statham, Clive Owen and Robert De Niro due out this September looks freakin' amazing.  Don't believe me?  Watch the trailer here on GTBP or check out this real basic, but cool poster featured below.  

The scowling tough guys with guns, all sporting aviators and Owen's mustache say it all: these elite killers are out for blood or in this film's case, vengeance.

The Killer Elite is based on a true story where Statham's character, Danny Bryce, a retired member of Britain's Special Air Service (IMDB) flies off the handle when his mentor, Hunter (De Niro) is captured by his arch nemesis Spike (Owen).  Bryce's mission is to defeat three assassins dispatched by Spike to kill him, before he can rescue Hunter.

Clive Owen vs Jason Statham in a New Trailer for the 'Killer Elite'

Never thought I'd witness Jason Statham produce two quality action movies back to back with a third one in tow.  The type cast actor follows up his outstanding performance in The Mechanic with a role that appears equally promising in the Killer Elite.  This time a retired Statham battles fellow ass kicking Brit, Clive Owen, and is out for blood when his mentor Robert Deniro (pictured below) is captured.  

The only ostacles in Statham's way, are the three assassins dispatched by Owen to kill him.
