David Fincher's '20,000 Leagues Under The Sea' Prepares To Set Sail

Director David Fincher (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Se7en) has always been known best for his dark, hard R dramas and crime thrillers. So his next project may come as a bit of a shock to those who haven't been following it: 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea: Captain Nemo.  I'm not sure why we need the subtitle.  The project has been in the crock pot for years now, with significant question as to whether or not it would get made.  Now, it seems that the wind has picked up.

What if David Fincher Directed 'The Dark Knight Rises'?

If you weren't convinced that David Fincher was an amazing visual director before, the opening credits sequence of his recent The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo should be enough to convince you otherwise. Amazing credits sequences, in fact, are something of a trademark for the director, going all the way back to 1995 with Se7enSe7en's title sequence was influential, for sure, but I don't think anyone expected to see what we have now that Doğan Can Gündoğdu has proven that he might be the most awesome Bat-fan on the internet.  The proof lies after the jump...
