Bradley Cooper & Robert De Niro Headline ‘The Silver Linings Playbook’

As the picture above shows us, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro have been reunited by David O. Russell (The Fighter) to star in The Silver Linings Playbook.  With an estimated budget of 26 million, the comedy based on the best-selling novel by Matthew Quick is currently scheduled for a 2013 release.  The all star cast also features Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone, X-Men: First Class), Julia Stiles (The Bourne Ultimatum, 10 Things I Hate About You), and Chris Tucker (Rush Hour, The Fifth Element).

'Uncharted: Drakes Fortune' Finds A 'Limitless' Director

This is the best week for a fan of Uncharted.  First, the beta goes public for Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception and now Neil Burger, the director of Limitless and writer and director of The Illusionist is now attached to direct Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. 

 

David O. Russell, the Oscar nominated director of The Fighter, cited creative differences when he left the project back in May.

Mark Wahlberg & David O. Russell to Collaborate, Again.

Are Mark Wahlberg and David O. Russell connected at the hip or are they simply brothers from a different mother?  Any way you slice it, the dynamic duo from The Fighter have worked on the same set so many times they're leaving other so-called actor/director combos in the dust. 

Before, Russell and Wahlberg reconnect for the big screen adaptation of the popular video game Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, they'll dive into The Silver Linings Playbook together, Vulture reports. 

In the movie biz it's all about who you know, and in this case, Wahlberg was able to unseat pretty boy Bradley Cooper as the leading man opposite of possibly Anne Hathaway in The Silver Linings Playbook.

David O. Russell Adding 'Cocaine Cowboys' to His To-Do List?

Director David O. Russell's name has been a popular topic in the world of movie news lately, whether it's the pre-Oscar buzz surrounding The Fighter or updates about his upcoming movie Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.  Recently at an awards show, the highly-sought after director spoke to Playlist about several of the projects he has on his crowded plate, including another possible reunion with Mark Wahlberg for the film Cocaine Cowboys.

 I'm working on Drake's Fortune right now.  I'm really digging it, I think the story's coming together in really intense cool way, and I also have a project with the Weinsteins called The Silver Linings Playbook
