New Clips From 'Final Destination 5'

We've all seen the trailer and know the basic premise of the Final Destination films, but it still amazes me that the producers/writers/directors still find something new to show us. Whether that's a big explosion or the collapse of a bridge, as seen in Final Destination 5 directed by Steven Quale, we still get the ominous adult who speaks of death as if they've faced it which is extemely tiring to constantly hear in every film. It now seems like these "deaths" are less complex (and convoluted) with more emphasis on the simplicity of daily moments where Death can get us, which to me is more hair-raising. New 'Final Destination 5' Poster

Are you ready to see the poster for the most anticipated film of this year?  Yeah, well you're reading the wrong article.  Final Destination 5, which is scheduled to release on August 12^th, has found a motif in its promotional campaign.  Like the first two posters, a skull is at the center of attention with foreign objects going through it.  Now, I know the Final Destination film posters had skulls on them but I think this is the first time objects are shown penetrating them.  The skulls were just used to show the audience of certain characters supposed demise.

'Final Destination 5' Recruits Victims

Finally! We have casting news for Final Destination 5. In previous reports, we've referred to the film by the announced title 5nal Destination, which as several readers have pointed out, reads like Anal Destination, and that's a whole other movie. That sobriquet is absent from Variety's casting update, so maybe New Line has come to its senses.

So here's what we have: Nicholas D'Agosto (a punch of guest spots on TV, mostly) will be the teenager who puts it all together and realizes that Death still isn't satisfied. David Koechner (Anchorman) is also on board, but how is not yet clear. I just hope he gets to scream "Whammy!" as he dies.

4 Real: '5nal Destination' 2 Shoot Next Month

Oh crap, I'd forgotten all about this. I knew the fifth Finale Destination movie was getting made, but that title. Ugh. We railed about 5nal Destination a couple months ago - with a couple readers commenting about how much it resembled Anal Destination - and then I blocked it out. So unhappy that it's back.

Steven Quale, a longtime James Cameron crew member, will direct the second 3-D movie in the series, and now we have a start date for the production to go along with the already announced August 26, 2011 release date. 5nal - man, is that lousy - will start shooting next month in Vancouver.

'Final Destination 5' Announces Worst Title Ever

Fail. Final Destination 5 is actually titled 5nal Destination. With the 5. We are so 4tunate 2 get this 1. There's no de9, I can hardly con10 my 8citement.

The Playlist reports that this was the best New Line could do, and points out what we reported a few weeks ago, that the studio is stumped as to why the fourth movie, simply called The Final Destination, did so well. There's no reason to stop, no matter what the title of the last film claimed, because suddenly, this is a gold mine.
