Guillermo del Toro Project #742 Announced: 'Beauty and the Beast'

As of now, Guillermo Del Toro is shooting a film called Pacific Rim, and is planning on directing a Haunted Mansion adaptation for Disney, and American version of the fantasy flick Troll Hunter, and adaptations of both Dr. Jekll and Mr. Hyde and Frankenstein.  Terrence Malick he is not.  Yet, even with all of that on his plate, it has also been announced that he is attached to helm a live action adaption of Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson.

Warner Bros. Wants to Give ‘Pinocchio’ the Tim Burton Treatment

  

Warner Bros. seems to have a clear vision on who should bring their live-action version of Pinocchio to the big screen, and he has a vision all his own.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio has offered the movie to Tim Burton and it appears he is very interested.  Burton in turn has approached Robert Downey Jr. to play the wood-carving Gepetto. 

After Alice in Wonderland’s wildly successful and profitable run in 2010, it’s a no-brainer that Warner Bros. is looking to hand their project over to Burton.

Del Toro Lines Up New Animated Film At DreamWorks

What Scares 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark's' Katie Holmes and Guillermo del Toro?

It's kind of expected to get a question like "What scares you?" when a horror film premieres. The difference this time the question remains valid when asking Guillermo del Toro, director of many horror-infused feature films, and Katie Holmes who's starring in one of del Toro's highly anticipated horror film Don't Be Afraid of the Dark.

It was said that "Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise were so afraid after screening her new film Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, they had to watch another movie before going to bed."

Guillermo del Toro's 'Pacific Rim' Cast Nabs Clifton Collins Jr.

Clifton Collins Jr. has been in many good movies during his career (Traffic, Star Trek).  Not all moviegoers know him by name, though I guarantee most recognize him from something they've seen.  He's more of a "hey it's that guy, he's in everything" type of actor, and he'll be "that guy" again soon.  

Collins Jr. has just joined the cast of Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba and Charlie Day for Guillermo del Toro's epic sci-fi movie Pacific Rim, according to Variety.
