Brett Ratner strikes again! The director of the
Rush Hour trilogy has a well-known love for Guitar Hero, and during the
season finale of American Idol this past May, two Ratner-directed
commercials debuted, featuring finalists Davids Cook and Archuleta reenacting
the famous "Old Time Rock n' Roll" scene from Risky Business.
This week during Monday Night Football, Ratner
used that same approach again, only this time, he chose a better fit for the
target audience of the show and the game.
Heidi Klum
strutted her stuff in a pair of commercials for Guitar Hero, but with a
variation on the theme. In the commercial that aired first, Klum mimicked the
moves of Tom Cruise in her long-sleeve button down shirt. In the second, which
aired in the second half of the game - presumably when kids would have been
asleep or something - off came the shirt.

See if you can spot the difference:
This is evidence of a few things: The process of childbirth somehow agrees with Heidi Klum, that movie scene is one of the most iconic of the past 30 years, and Brett Ratner should only make commercials from now on, especially if they're knock-offs of famous movies.
