JGL to Step Behind the Camera for Comedy with Scarlett Johansson

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a very busy man with three movies dropping this summer alone, plus he plans to try his hand at directing soon as well.  Deadline reported that JGL is preparing to make his directorial debut on a comedy film, which he will star opposite of the lovely Scarlett Johansson in.  He describes this new movie as "a modern-day Don Juan, and his quest to become less of a 'selfish dick", which comes from the script he also wrote.

JGL Talks 'The Dark Knight Rises' & Tarantino

Joseph Gordon-Levitt or JGL is in every thing these days, and 2012 will be a big year for him.  One movie everyone is talking about is The Dark Knight Rises, which he'll appear in.  Quentin Tarantino is also interested in JGL for a role in his new western Django Unchained starring Jamie Foxx and Leonardo Dicaprio. 

The 50/50 star was recently spotted at the Sundance Film Festival this last week where he briefly spoke with the Sundance Channel about Christopher Nolan's final Batman flick, and the films ties to the Occupy Wall Street movement.

'Looper' Director Talks About JGL Becoming Bruce Willis & Time Travel

One movie on everyone's 2012 list of movies to anticipate is the sci-fi, time traveling thriller Looper from Rian Johnson.  Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis star in this tale of an elite hitman, "working for the mob of the future, who recognizes one of his targets is his future self."  Talk about an innovative new form of suicide!

In an interview with the L.A. Times, Johnson reveals some interesting details about this upcoming film (September 28, 2012), including the use of prosthetics by JGL to make him appear more similar to the action star Willis.

Bale Talks Batman Co-Stars & New 'Dark Knight Rises' Pics

GTBP has another 2-for-1 of The Dark Knight Rises variety tonight.  Yesterday we shared some comments from director Christopher Nolan and Tom Hardy about Batman's latest, most intimidating rival, Bane.  Now we've got the Dark Knight himself, Christian Bale, applauding the work of his fellow cast mates along with a couple new pics from the set to look at courtesy of Empire.

Almost lost in the all pre-Dark Knight vs Bane hype are co-stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anne Hathaway, who has perhaps the toughest role of all in portraying iconic Batman baddie Catwoman.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt in 'The Dark Knight Rises' Set Photos

Months ago Joseph Gordon-Levitt joined the all-star cast for Christopher Nolan's third and final Batman installment, The Dark Knight Rises.  Since then, it has been unclear what JGL's role in the blockbuster was going to be, as IMDB only has him listed as John Blake.  After doing a little extra research, I learned JGL will play "a Gotham City beat cop assigned to special duty under the command of Commissioner Gordon."
