Kristen Stewart Offered Female Lead in 'Akira'?

Kristen Stewart should stick to hanging out with werewolves & vampires

As if the the live-action, english language Akira movie wasn't being met with enough skepticism, now it's being reported that Twilight star Kristen Stewart has been offered the female lead in it.  According to Twitch, Stewart who's currently filming Snow White and The Huntsman, while also promoting the upcoming The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 (in theaters this Friday) is being considered for the role of Kei in the Akira reboot.

While no official announcements have been made or reports of negotiations actually taking place, Stewart is the latest actor to be linked to director Jaume Collet-Serra's Akira project.

Twi-Hards Lining Up for Monday Premiere of 'Breaking Dawn Part 1'

Love it or hate it, Twilight is an international phenomenon.  That much can not be disputed.  The young adult novel turned movie franchise has been bringing in cash since the first film released in 2008 with a $69.6 million opening weekend.  Next Friday, the first part of the end, Breaking Dawn Part 1, will be releasing and some fans are already lining up in Downtown Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre to get a glimpse of the series' super stars, such as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, as they walk the red carpet Monday when the movie premieres.

First Trailer and New Posters Released For 'Snow White and the Huntsman'

Fairy tales and their numerous retellings are always popular so it is no surprise that not one, but two fairy tale movies relating to the legend of Snow White will release in 2012.

Snow White and the Huntsman is directed by Rupert Sanders with Twilight superstar Kristen Stewart playing the role of the fairest of them all, Snow White, and superhero Thor star Chris Hemsworth playing the Huntsman.   Charlize Theron plays the evil Queen wanting to destroy Snow White and Sam Clafin plays the Prince.

Snow White and the Huntsman is one of the two rivaling Snow White big screen adaptations coming next year.  New set photos of Twilight star Kristen Stewart as Snow White have hit the web courtesy of Pop Sugar, and you can check them out here.  The pics were intially made available to guests at the last San Diego Comic Con.

The movie is being directed by Rupert Sanders marking his feature film debut, and is due in theaters on June 1, 2012.

New Trailer for 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 1' Has Arrived

Attention to all the ladies:  The trailer for the newest Twilight movie, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 1 has arrived here on GTBP for your viewing pleasure.  I've never seen any of these movies, but I know they involve romance, vampires and werewolves and come from the popular novels by Stephenie Meyer. Robert Pattison is the main vampire, Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan) is his girlfriend in the series.

My Twilight knowledge is impressive, believe me I know.
