Standard Set of Character Posters for 'The Avengers'

The Avengers is quite possibly the most anticipated film of next year and we were already introduced to an exciting theatrical trailer.  What can Disney and Marvel do next to remind fans of how awesome the film will be?  They release character posters.  Yes, that's right, character posters.  We have Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye, and more.  But the question is, are they any good?

The answer to that is no, not really.  Honestly, a brown paper bag has much more style than these posters.  Don't believe me?  Check them out for yourself.

New Trailer for 'The Avengers'

Quick declaration: I bow down to anything from nearly God-like creaotr Joss Whedon like any respectful fanboy would.  With that I have kept my impressions of his theatrical directorial efforts of The Avengers to a respectable aweing.  Certainly many comic book fans have been waiting for Marvel's long-gestating franchise culmination in The Avengers and we have a trailer to thank them for it.

'Zombieland' Duo Together Again in 'Now You See Me'

The two guys that found creative ways to make zombies disappear will reunite and try to follow suite as magicians in the new film Now You See Me.  Zombieland stars Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson will team up with Morgan Freeman, Mark Ruffalo, Isla Fisher and Melanie Laurent in Louis Leterrier's "magic heist."  Harrelson replaces Jake Gyllenhaal's mentalist character, who's "known for his Jedi-style mind tricks." 

In Now You See Me, Eisenberg, Fisher, Laurent and Harrelson play a magic quartet called the Four Horsmen, who rob banks during their magic act.

'The Avengers' Unite for Magazine Cover & Pics

Behind-the-scenes images of The Avengers from Joss Whedon's set have been everywhere.  The timing by Entertainment Weekly to release pics of the Marvel super team couldn't be more appropriate.  The Avengers are currently rocking the cover of this week's EW edition.

The cover titled "First Look at The Ultimate Superhero Movie" includes Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), while Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) naturally takes center stage.

'The Avengers' Cast Assembles in Central Park

Marvel's super team, The Avengers were caught talking amongst themselves, and prepping for a scene in Central Park on the NY based set of Joss Whedon's blockbuster.  Unfortunately, not all the heroes appear in costume, only Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) are in their respective suits, though it's possible Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) sans Iron Man suit is intended to be part of the scene as well.
