2 Guys, '2 Guns'...Denzel & Wahlberg to Join Forces?

Both have more than proven themselves as elite action movie stars, now Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg will possibly bring their collective A-list power together in a film for the first time ever.  Denzel is currently in negotiations to join the movie adaptation of the graphic novel 2 Guns by Steven Grant which already has Marky Mark attached to headline, according to Deadline.  2 Guns will also reunite Wahlberg with Contraband director Baltasar Kormakur for a promising script penned by Blake Masters (Law & Order: LA).

Wahlberg Wants Michael Bay's 'Pain and Gain'

No pain, no gain? Well, it is a Michael Bay film...Mark Wahlberg was run through the ringer by GTBP's Mario Melidona yesterday for his decision to cast Justin Bieber in a film next year.  Now we've got more news regarding the star of The Fighter, and his desire to perform in the next pre-Transformers 4, Michael Bay film Pain and Gain MTV reports.  

Wahlberg's schedule will determine whether he can step in as a Miami body builder-turned kidnapper, which could possibly see him star opposite of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who's currently in negotiations for the film.

Mark Wahlberg On Casting Justin Bieber

Oh Marky Mark, why have you gone and done such a terrible thing? Either way, Mark Wahlberg has cast Justin Bieber for a "big-screen effort" with Paramount early next year and speaks to MTV News about his choice while doing some promotion for his action film Contraband. Basically: intuition. Something is going to go terribly wrong, I can feel it.

New Trailer for Mark Wahlberg's 'Contraband'

Mark Wahlberg follows up the unforgettable portrayal of boxer Mickey Ward in The Fighter by playing a smuggler in the new action thriller Contraband.  Contraband opens on January 13, 2012 and the first trailer has just landed on the web.

Joining Wahlberg, as a former smuggler turned security guard turned smuggler again (a tiger doesn not change its stripes) are Ben Foster, Kate Beckinsale and Giovanni Ribisi.

Stars Align as Russell Crowe Joins Mark Wahlberg for 'Broken City'

Russell Crowe has just signed on to Allen Hughes (famous Hughes brothers) independent noir drama Broken City as a co-star to Mark Wahlberg, Deadline reported this morning.  Crowe will play an NYC mayor who hires an ex-cop turned detective (Wahlberg) to see if his wife is cheating on him.  As you might expect, the sleuth reveals the infidelity and consequently the wife's cheating partner ends up dead.  

The detective then begins to uncover more shady dealings by the mayor through his investigation, including a lucrative real estate scandal.
