Amanda Seyfried a big reason why 'In Time' suckedThere are a handful of actors in Hollywood who are just plain terrible with each performance, yet he or she somehow keep getting bigger and better roles.  Amanda Seyfried, who single handedly made a very bad In Time movie almost impossible to finish watching, falls into that category.  Yes, her performance was that unbearable.  

Seyfried is now in talks to play infamous pornstar Linda Lovelace in one of two upcoming biopics about the adult film star-turned-porn activist, whose life ended in tragedy, according to Variety.

Character Posters from 'Green Lantern'

Here are the brand new character posters from Green Lantern's Comic-Con christening, which come to us by way of Wild About Movies. Collect all four! Click to Enlarge There was some discussion about whether or not Mark Strong would bring the full Sinestro to the first movie, but that's pretty much what the poster shows. We'd seen some unflattering shots of Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond on the set before, but this is more what we were hoping for. Ryan Reynolds, at least according to our readers' consensus, may be a great Hal Jordan but the CGI suit is not a great look; glad they ditched the mask here. Blake Lively in a bodysuit...will probably melt your mind.

Green Lantern could be a big deal for Warner Bros. and DC Comics, which at this point really only has Batman with any kind of momentum. They're rebooting Superman for the second straight movie, can't get going on Wonder Woman, and probably won't do a Justice League movie until Chris Nolan wraps up his Batman arc.

Tim Robbins Sires Peter Sarsgaard in 'Green Lantern'

He was rumored to be in Iron Man 2, but now Tim Robbins is more or less confirmed to co-star in another superhero flick, DC's Green Lantern. He's the latest name to join Ryan Reynolds in the cast, and shooting commences next month in New Orleans, which should almost be done celebrating the Super Bowl and Mardi Gras around then.

Heat Vision Blog indicates Robbins will play Sen. Hammond, father of Peter Sarsgaard's villainous Hector Hammond. And, for no reason at all, there is also a mention of Robbins' work in Howard th Duck, which is really a cheap shot. In addition to Robbins and Sarsgaard, director Martin Campbell has expressed interest in uber-bad guy Mark Strong for the role of Sinestro and Blake Lively will go all van der Woodsen on the role of Carol Ferris, Lantern's main squeeze. Apropos of nothing, that's a tall cast. Reynolds and Strong are 6' 2", Sarsgaard - perhaps a tad generously - is billed at six feet even, and Lively is 5' 10". Add the 6' 5" Robbins to the mix and I think you can safely say there won't be a Tom Cruise cameo.

Peter Sarsgaard in Talks for 'Green Lantern' Villain

Good news on the Green Lantern front: It looks like the major players have all been cast. I don't know why it took six months from the time Ryan Reynolds was tapped as the intergalactic policeman to fill the rest of the key roles, because I thought the script had been done for quite a while. Regardless, we found out over the weekend that Blake Lively will play Lantern's love interest, Carol Ferris, and Heat Vision Blog says we're thismuch closer to a villain.

Peter Sarsgaard is reportedly negotiating to play Dr. Hector Hammond, who begins his run in the comics as nothing special, but his luck changes when he finds meteor fragments in the woods. Even though it's kind of a long way to go to establish a villain, I would suspect the film wouldn't lump his broader story into one moment, where exposure to the radiation of the meteor gives Hammond a great big head and psionic abilities. The downside of doing that is, in the comic, at least, Hammond can no longer speak or walk after his transformation. Radiation's a funny thing. He wouldn't make for much of a villain with a giant prosthetic melon and no dialogue, so the trade off could be devoting more time to Hammond's early treachery when he isn't nearly as powerful, go through his little escape from prison and then, boom - third act he's a bobblehead that can control men's minds.
