New 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' Photo Hints At A Gruesome End

Back when The Amazing Spider-Man was coming out, an insightful blogger decided to take all of the footage that had been released in the form of trailers and online video clips and combine it, discovering that virtually the entire movie had been revealed.  It was a powerful statement on just how overboard marketing for films go nowadays.  Luckily, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been playing things closer to the chest, releasing on-set screen shots that vague enough to mean almost anything. Ben Kingsley Gets Painted Up For 'Ender's Game'

If you haven't read Ender's Game, fix that.  And fix it quickly, because the last thing you want is your first experience of the story ruined by (what could be) a mediocre movie.  I have to admit that I have trouble seeing the book work as a film.  Most of the action comes in the form of futuristic laser tag-esque training battles between groups of pre-teens, and I don't know if those stakes can propel a film.  We have another screenshot from the film, and it's Ben Kingsley as legendary soldier Mazar Rackham.

New 'Catching Fire' Pictures Spread Across The Net

I'm really curious to see how well the upcoming Catching Fire does, as opposed to the smash success that was The Hunger Games.  With the fan base have built up, pushing it to new levels of success?  Will the fad die out?  Will it stay steady?  I can't help but feel the hype has died down, though maybe that's just the lack of publicity being released, though here's a picture and a gif to keep the Katniss fans satiated.

'The Wolverine' Sees A Familiar Face In A New Six Second Clip

I try not to let my personal feelings about the people involved in films effect opinions on the films themselves, but I find myself hoping that every Hugh Jackman project is a success.  From what I've seen, he's a decent guy, loyal to his family and respectful to others, displaying class towards everything he does.  In an industry that's given us Alec Baldwin and Sean Penn, I hate imagining him suffering through bad reviews.  It makes me all the more happy that The Wolverine is starting to look good.

New 'Pacific Rim' Screenshots Beat 'Godzilla' At Its Own Game?

One fascinating thing in Hollywood is the way that movies with similar premises will be released around the same time period.  Snow White & The Huntsman and Mirror, Mirror.  Deep Impact and Armageddon.  One more to the list: Pacific Rim and Godzilla.  Pacific Rim is coming out a year earlier then Godzilla, but it's safe to say that their greenlighting was part of the same trend.  If Pacific Rim just knocks it out of the park like these screenshots hint at, than Godzilla has a lot to live up to.
